This notice covers our store and customer relationships. Shopify and payment providers can also process certain information for their own purposes, as explained in their respective privacy notices.

Provide the information required at checkout so that we can process payment and deliver the order. Optional information is not a condition of purchase. Do not email full payment-card numbers, security codes, identity documents or sensitive personal information unless we have explained why limited verification is necessary and how to provide it securely.

Data comes from you, your interactions with the store, and the service providers involved in payment, website operation and delivery. Where someone orders a gift for another person, we use the recipient details provided only as necessary for that delivery and related service.

Service messages and marketing

We send messages necessary for orders, payment, delivery, returns, safety and customer support. We do not currently send promotional email or SMS campaigns. Providing an email address for an order does not itself subscribe you to marketing.

Any later introduction of optional marketing or tracking must be accompanied by appropriate information and any consent required by law. Our Cookie Policy explains the rules for cookies and similar technologies; it does not itself give consent.

Sharing and Shopify

Information necessary for the relevant task is made available to authorised personnel and to providers of ecommerce hosting, payment processing, delivery, professional accounting or legal assistance, and technical support. We disclose information to public authorities when a valid legal obligation requires it. These disclosures are limited to the information needed for the purpose.

Shopify supplies our ecommerce platform. Depending on the service and its configuration, Shopify acts as a processor for the merchant or processes information under its own responsibilities. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy. The use of a Shopify platform does not mean that every optional Shopify advertising, account or data-sharing feature is enabled in this store.

Our payment and fraud-prevention providers can perform automated checks. For a concern about a declined or flagged transaction, contact us for an explanation of the part we can review and help with contacting the relevant provider. Your rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects remain applicable where the legal conditions are met.

International processing

Using international service providers such as Shopify can involve processing outside France or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers must be covered by a relevant adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, with supplementary measures where necessary. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to our processing. Shopify explains its own international processing in its privacy documentation.

Retention

We separate records kept to fulfil an order from restricted records retained for accounting or legal purposes. Information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, unless a continuing legal obligation or a specific dispute requires retention.

Record category Retention rule
Invoices and accounting supporting documents 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year
Electronic consumer contracts of EUR 120 or more The statutory archiving period, including 10 years from delivery; a copy can be requested from us
Other necessary contractual records For performance and the applicable legal claim period, with access restricted when retained only for evidence
General enquiries not resulting in an order For the time needed to answer the enquiry and complete directly related follow-up; longer retention is limited to records needed for a specific legal obligation or dispute
After-sales correspondence While the case is being handled, then only for the applicable guarantee or claim period where the particular correspondence is needed as evidence
Technical/security logs For the time needed to diagnose a fault or investigate and resolve a security event; records retained for a legal obligation or claim are separated from routine operational use
Cookie and consent records For the lifetime of the relevant technology and the period necessary to respect and demonstrate the recorded choice; storage is limited to the relevant purpose

Retention is assessed by record and purpose. A longer accounting or legal retention period does not justify keeping all information about a customer for that period. A deletion request does not require erasure of records that must be retained by law; any continuing retention is limited to the relevant legal purpose.

Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. French law also provides for instructions concerning personal data after death.

Email support@psdmarne.com. We request only proportionate identity verification when necessary. Requests are generally free and answered without undue delay, normally within one month. A lawful extension of up to two additional months can apply for complex or numerous requests; we explain it within the initial month.

You may complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, without first being required to complete our internal complaint process.

Security and changes

Our privacy policy requires access to customer information to be limited to authorised people who need it for their work. No internet service can promise absolute security. Do not share account credentials, where accounts are offered, or full payment credentials in ordinary correspondence.

We update this notice when our processing changes and provide additional information where required. A policy update does not retrospectively create consent for a new purpose.
